According to Daily Post, Shettima said this during the announcement reversing the eviction order issued to Igbos by a Northern youth group.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, the youths issued a statement withdrawing the quit noticewhich they issued to Igbos living in the North.

Speaking further, the Borno state Governor said Nigerians should not label all Igbo people as agitators.

He also said “The northern governors believe in the unity of this country.

“I would personally prefer to be a small fish in a big pond than a big fish in a small pond.”

“Nnamdi Kanu is acting out of ignorance and immaturity.

“The Biafran agitation is only the past-time of a tiny but vocal minority,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo has described the withdrawal of the quit notice issued to Igbos living in the North as a welcome development.
