Nnamdi Kanu IPOB leader visits Ijaw elders, receives heroic welcome in River state

The IPOB leader was in Rivers state to visit leaders of the Ijaw Elders' Council.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB’s) leader, Nnamdi Kanu visited Rivers state on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

According to Daily Post, he was welcomed by his supporters who gathered on the road to praise him.

In a video published on Youtube, Kanu’s supporters were seen praising him and calling him Igwe (King), Ebubedike (warrior).

Kanu recently said that former President Goodluck Jonathan was a weak leader, adding that his administration did not favour Southerners.

IPOB has also dismissed reports that it is planning to use violent means to achieve its call for a Biafra nation.

Speaking to newsmen, the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful described Kanu as a peaceful man, who does not like violence.

According to Vanguard, the IPOB leader was in Rivers state to visit leaders of the Ijaw elders' council.
