DSS reveals how IPOB leader was arrested

The Department of State Services (DSS) recently revealed how the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.

The Department of State Services (DSS) recently revealed how the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.

The DSS claimed that Kanu was arrested in a hotel in Lagos where he was lounged with a lady. The DSS also revealed how arms and ammunition were recovered in the residence of one of his associates in Ubulusiuzor, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

These claims were contained in the documents presented as fresh six-count charges were slammed on Kanu.

According to Temisan John, a DSS operative, Kanu was arrested in the company of a lady at the Golden Tulip Essential Lagos Airport Hotel located at 42/44, Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

The DSS operative said that Kanu check into the hotel with a false name, but the DSS team decided to conduct a search and discovered him in Room 303 "while he was hibernating with a young girl".

“On arrival at the hotel, the staff denied having Kanu there or having any knowledge of him, even when showed his photograph. The guest manifest, for about five days, was also printed and the name was not found on any.

“However, relying on accurate intelligence, the team decided to conduct a physical search on all the rooms and Kanu was arrested in Room 303 while hibernating with a young girl, , with all his broadcasting and communication gadgets set for use.

“It was then discovered that Kanu checked in under the name . He was subsequently arrested and taken to the command headquarters.”

Kanu’s case has been transferred to the Chief Judge for reassignment as Justice Ahmed Mohammed resigned from the case.
