NLC Strike Labour union protests fuel price hike in Lagos, Abuja, others [PHOTOS]

The Federal Government had attempted to resolve the conflict and succeeded in convincing the Joe Ajaero faction of the NLC and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to back down.

Protesters have flooded Ikorodu Road in Lagos in support of a strike action organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to protest a recent increase in the price of fuel.

Protests are also being held in other states of the federation today, May 18, 2016.

The Federal Government had attempted to resolve the conflict and succeeded in convincing the Joe Ajaero faction of the NLC and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to back down.

It however failed to convince the Ayuba Wabba faction of the NLC which then vowed to proceed with the strike.
