In a recent report by SaharaReporters, Jauro made the plea when he approached the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday, October 24, 2016 alongside his in-law, Dauda Bawa, and their company, Thlumbau Enterprises Limited.

Jauro is being prosecuted for an alleged multi-billion Naira fraud at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency during his reign as the acting DG following the sack of Patrick Apkobolokemi.
