Udoma also urged critics of the proposed sale to hold their fire until a final decision is made, according to Daily Trust.
The minister reportedly made the comment on Tuesday, September 27, while speaking at the 57th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Economic Society in Abuja.
According to Udoma, the planned sale is just a proposal within the stimulus package of the federal government which is yet to be finalized or even agreed upon.
Udoma had earlier said, via a statement released by his Media Adviser, James Akpandem on Saturday, September 24, that the government was not planning to sell off all Nigeria’s assets.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Senate has rejected the proposed sale of assets.
