The upper legislative house adjourned indefinitely on Thursday, June 4, 2015, after a valedictory session attended by the 107 outgoing senators.

According to Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, the Seventh Senate considered and passed 123 out of the 591 bills presented during its tenure.
In his farewell message, the Senate President accepted full responsibility for all the shortcomings recorded by the upper house in the last four years.
The Seventh Senate, on Wednesday, June 3, made history when it passed 45 bills in 10 minutes prior to its exit.
