In what could be yet another case of MERS outside of South Korea, a 22-year old woman was rushed to a Hong Kong hospital on the suspicion that she had come down with the deadly virus.
The unidentified woman had sought treatment at a clinic in Tsing Yi station for a runny nose and fever after returning to Hong Kong from a trip to South Korea.
She was reportedly placed under isolation and is said to be in a stable condition.
Hong Kong had previously quarantined 19 people as a precaution against MERS and had also isolated suspected cases which turned out to be false alarms.
So far, 9 people have died from the deadly virus in South Korea and 108 have been infected, with the first infected patient diagnosed on May 20.
This is the biggest outbreak of the disease outside Saudi Arabia ever.
