Attah Iliya, Head of Clinical services if the Federal Medical Center, Jalingo has confirmed that seven suspected Lassa fever patients left the hospital unauthorised.

He added that recently, four patient out of the 44-suspected cases admitted turned out positive to the virus.
In a related news, Adamu Gamawa, Chairman of the Bauchi state Primary Health Care Development Agency (BASPHCDA) disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the state’s teaching hospital (ATBUTH) has discharged nine out of the 10 patients treated for Lassa fever.
