Nigeria should learn from Gambia's ballot box

Nigeria has been looking for how to solve an endemic election rigging problem. There's solution from Gambia

Gambia ballot box

Jammeh was defeated by opposition candidate, Adama Barrow.

According to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), Barrow won 54.54 percent (263,515 votes) while Jammeh took home 36.66 percent (212,099 votes), with third party candidate Mama Kandeh making away with 102,969 votes (17.80 percent).

"It's really unique that someone who has been ruling this country for so long has accepted defeat,"Alieu Momar Njie, a Gambian, told reporters.

"This man (Jammeh) beat and oppressed us," a young man who gave his name as Jawara told AFP. "We didn't have our freedom but definitely Barrow will give it to us," he added, fighting back tears.

Barrow may have won the vote, but we have a different winner from where we seat, fam.

The Gambia election ballot box is the real MVP here.

Can't tell us nothing!

Just take a look at these steel drums/barrels called ballot boxes:

The Nigerian ballot box is definitely a learner where the Gambian ballot box is:

And the Americans are jokers for calling these light contraptions, ballot boxes:

Seriously, what were the Americans thinking when they called these 'match boxes' ballot boxes?

These chaps from the Central African Republic haven't even started. Moi Moi  buckets or what?

Nigeria has been battling an age-old problem--how to stop thugs from picking up and running away with ballot boxes while police gives chase.

Gambia has just shown the way. Make the darn boxes bigger. And make sure they are made of steel.

Real freagin' steel.

A Nigerian thug who wants to disappear with a ballot box like Gambia's, will certainly have second thoughts. He'll need to hit the gym months before the election and ain't nobody got time for that.

Did you also notice that the Gambian ballot boxes can be chained?!

C'mon guys, you can't even make this thing up!

Seriously, the answers we seek have just arrived....with love from Gambia.
