Lagos, Ogun, Zone-2 policemen intensify search for abducted landlords
No fewer than100 policemen were combing the creeks, including aerial patrol by the Police Air Wing Command.

The unknown gunmen in military uniform, on Saturday abducted four landlords who were carrying out exercises in Lekki Garden Estate, Isheri.
Sources told NAN on Monday that the policemen were drafted from Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Police Command in Lagos, the Police Air Wing Command and Police Command in Ogun.

An Amoured Personal Carrier (APC) and two patrol vehicles from Lagos and zone 2 commands were being manned by heavily armed policemen at the estate.
However, residents of the area were still living in fears as the kidnappers have vowed to kill the captives if the one billion Nara demanded for the release of the victims was not paid.
Lagos police Spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, said although the area of incident falls under Ogun jurisdiction but they were part of the rescue teams.
“We don’t argue over jurisdiction as we have taken the lead to ensure that the victims are rescued alive since lives are involved.
”Everyone knows that the place falls right under the jurisdiction of the Ogun State command, but the Lagos State police command always want to take the lead and partner with other commands.
”We have activated some rescue process and by the grace of God, the victims will be rescue.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 2 command, Abdulmajid Ali, however, said the police were not aware of one billion naira ransom demanded by the gunmen.
“I am not aware of any demand for ransom but we have commenced investigation and we are going to rescue the landlords alive.
”The Commissioners of Police for Ogun and Lagos commands are briefing me about the development.
”We are all out at ensuring that the victims are rescue alive.”
