15 people have reportedly died in Taraba State after an attack by suspected Fulani mercenaries.

Many people are also said to have gone missing after the attacks on Tse-Gbaun and Gaza villages in Donga and Ayiase village in Takum Local Government.

“The attack happened in the early hours of today (Monday), and the area is not safe as I talk to you, and as such we cannot search for the other missing persons. But we have, so far, recovered seven dead bodies,” an eyewitness told Punch.

Security agents have reportedly been deployed to the area to maintain the peace on the orders of acting Governor, Sani Danladi.
