Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, March 16, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, Mr. Sotonye Wakama, he said the chairman was declared wanted after arms were found in his residence.

The State Governor, Nyesome Wike appointed Jackrich, better known as Egberipapa, and a former militant leader, as the Chairman of the committee.

The accused was one of the militants who embraced the Federal Government’s amnesty at the time.

His trouble with the law comes more than one week after unknown men kidnapped his mother.

However, ahead of the rerun senatorial elections holding in the State on Saturday, March 16, the DIG assured that the police  will leave no stone unturned to protect lives and property in the state before, during and after the elections.

He added that all those involved in the recent killings in the state will be fished out and will face the wrath of the law.
