State legislator, Godfrey Dashe dies

Dashe, who was representing the Qua'pan South constituency passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

A member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Godfrey Dashe has died.

His death was confirmed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Peter Azi, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Azi said:

“This is a monumental loss not only to his family, constituency, this Assembly, but the entire state. I was informed of his ill-health, I went to see him at the hospital last night and he was looking better.”

“To my greatest surprise, I got a call in the early hours of today that he gave up the ghost. We will really miss his elderly counselling in the House.”

Before his death, Dashe was the Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Tourism.
