Senatorial candidate dies of 'stiff neck' at 54

54-year-old Solomon Olamilekan died on Wednesday, February 18, after complaining of a stiff neck three days earlier.

The Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan is dead.

54-year-old Olamilekan died on Wednesday, February 18, after complaining of a stiff neck three days earlier.

He was taken to a private hospital for treatment and while there, lost his life.

His death was confirmed by the Secretary of the Ogun State branch of the party, Sunday Oginni who described the incident as shocking.

Update: A photo  of Honourable Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, a member of the House of Representatives and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was erroneously used in this report. The deceased is Solomon Olamilekan Akanni, a member of the Labour Party.
