LG boss says Ado-Odo/Ota generated N103.5m in 6 months

He said the council received N9.7 million in January, N9.6 million in February, N18.3 million in March while in April it generated N40.6 million.

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

Idowu-Ojumo, who heads the council’s Transition Committee, disclosed this when the State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs visited the council secretariat as part of its oversight functions.

Idowu-Ojumo said that the council completed 16 projects during the period under review.

``Some of our projects include the construction of public toilets, security posts, construction of two boreholes in Ado-Odo, Ota and Awori areas.

``We have also delivered 58 lock-up shops in Sango-Ota.

``We have invested in agriculture and I can tell you that we have over 800 layers in our poultry,’’ he said.

He said that some of the challenges being faced by the council were non-remittance of the statutory 10 per cent of the internally generated revenue by the state to the local government.
