Daniel Oga Ogazy who was speaking against the backdrop that the 2016 appropriation bill has not been passed by the members, disclosed that the house approved supplementary budget late 2015 which would serve the state for a very long time.

Speaking on Monday, April 18, 2016, Ogazy said the chairman, adhoc committee on finance and appropriation was working tirelessly to ensure the passage of the budget as planned.

Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has planned to pass the 2016 appropriation into law on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.

The state governor, Umaru Tanko Almakura had presented N77.9billion to the state House of Assembly for consideration as a budget estimate for 2016.

While it was not clear whether members will passed the same amount into law, the House majority Leader, Umar Tanko Tunga, assured that the Wednesday dateline would be achieved.

He attributed the delay in the passage of the budget to one month strike embarked by the labour union and the misunderstanding that erupted sittings in the house.
