One General, five Major-Generals and eight Brigadier Generals have retired from the Nigerian Army Medical Corps.

A pull-out parade in honour of the generals was held at the parade ground of the 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Yaba, Lagos and was attended by a representative of Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, Vanguard reports.

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major Gen Henry Edet, who represented Buratai assured the soldiers that “what they have contributed positively to the Nigerian Army will never be forgotten.”

Meanwhile, the army has called on Boko Haram terrorists who wish to surrender to do so before it’s too late.
