4 injured in beer parlour explosion

Though the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, the occurence was further confirmed by the National Emergency Management Agency.

 

An explosion has reportedly rocked Lagos hours after rumoured explosion in Karu area of Abuja.

According to a report by Premium Times, a locked beer parlour along L & K Road, in Oworonsoki area of Lagos exploded on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2015, leaving four people injured.

It was further reported that the victims have since been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Though the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, the occurence was further confirmed by the National Emergency Management Agency.

”Fire service and police are trying to find out the cause as the shop was locked at the time of explosion,” said Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMA Spokesperson, South West.

'Crowd are greatly impeding emergency works. We call on them to leave the area entirely. The explosion partly affected a building next to the beer parlour with no serious effects on human beings,” he told Premium Times.
