An American citizen resident in Kogi State has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Phyllis Sortor, who works as a missionary for the Free Methodist Church in the state, was reportedly kidnapped in Emiworo village at around 10:00 am on Monday, February 23.

“She was whisked away at around 10:00 am (0900 GMT) Monday,” Police spokesman, Sola Collins Adebayo told AFP.
