Government declares Tuesday,October 4 as public holiday

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the company of government officials, went to hospitals to pray for the speedy recovery of the sick.

It is in celebration of the first day of Muharram, the first month in the lunar Islamic calendar, 1438 A.H.

According to Leadership, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the company of government officials, went to hospitals to pray for the speedy recovery of the sick and also show them sympathy.

Also, on Friday, 30th September, 2016 , the state Governor organised a prayer at the Government House Mosque, to mark the Islamic new year.

The Kano state government recently donated food items worth N2.5 millionto enable prison inmates in the state celebrate Eid el-Kabir.
