Sen La’ah, Rep Katung mourn Agwatyap

The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen Danjuma Tella La'ah has described the death of Agwatyap, Dr Harrison Bungwon as shocking.

A member representing Zangon Kataf/ Jaba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Sunday Marshal Katung has described the late Agwatyap as a peace-loving man who will be greatly missed.

In a statement issued on Sunday, April 10, 2016,  La’ah also said that the monarch’s good advice and love for peaceful coexistence would be greatly missed.

The senator said the demise of the Monarch is not only a loss to Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, but a loss to the nation.

Late Dr Bungwon who spent 11 years on the throne as Gyatyap of Atyap land, in Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State, Nigeria, died at the age of 67 while asleep in his palace on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

Also, Rep. Sunday Katung who said he received the news of the demised of late Agwatyap, Dr Harrison Bungon with great shock, said the death of the First class Chief came to him as a great shock.

"Late Dr Bungwon devoted his life to the progress of his people in the areas of agriculture, education and socio-economic development of Atyap people and Kaduna State as a whole,” Katung said.
