Kidnapping: Police declare State of Emergency in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command on Tuesday declared a State of Emergency to stem rising cases of kidnapping in the state.

The command's spokesman, DSP Zubairu Abubakar, said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna, that a special team of anti kidnap squad has been formed to track and dislodge the criminal gangs.

He said the declaration of the state of emergency was on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
