Police vow tortured orphan girl will get justice

The victim, 15, is said to be a native of Umunaga village in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Speaking to newsmen in Abakaliki on Wednesday, August 10, the Commissioner of Police, Peace Abdallah, vowed  to ensure adequate prosecution of all persons involved in the inhumane act.

According to reports, and a video that has since gone viral, the girl is an orphan. She was stripped and whipped with cables and canes for allegedly having sex with her boyfriend.

Abdallah alsoparaded a suspected child trafficking syndicate who specialises in stealing babies in Ebonyi State and move them to Asaba, the Delta State capital to sell.
