Man, 38, faces break-in, N50,000 theft charge

According to him, the accused broke into the complainant's apartment and stole a Nokia phone and N50, 000.

Court remands woman, 45, for alleged cheating

A 38-year-old, Emmanuel Emeka, who allegedly broke into a house and stole money and a mobile phone worth N50, 000, was on Friday charged before a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates’ Court, Abuja.

The accused, who resides at No. 151, Ajose Adeogun St., Utako Village in the FCT, is facing a charge of stealing.

The Prosecutor, Cpl. James Abu told the court that the complainant, Grace George of the same address had on July 3 reported the case at Wuse Police Station.

The offence contravened the provisions of Section 287 of the Penal Code, Laws of the Federation.

The accused pleaded innocence of the offence.

In her ruling, the Senior Magistrate, Mrs Simisola Adeniyi, granted the accused bail in the sum of 100,000 with two sureties, who must reside within the court's jurisdiction.

The case has been adjourned till July 27 for hearing.
