The Presidency has confirmed the sack of the EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde, and the appointment of Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, as his replacement.

The President's Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, made the confirmation on Twitter today.

"President @MBuhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa Magu as the Acting Chairman of EFCC", Garba wrote on the microblogging site.
Lamorde, who has been facing a probe by the Senate following allegations that he laundered N1 trillion in funds which were recovered from corrupt persons by the agency, was sacked today, November 9, 2015.
