Police IG bans use of mobile police by individuals

Ibrahim Idris has said the Police force would no longer deploy Police Mobile Force officers to guard individuals.

Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris

Idris made the disclosure at a meeting with Commanders of the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Special Protection Unit (SPU) and the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) in Abuja.

He said that the PMF, CTU and SPU were currently undergoing reorganisation and restructuring in accordance with their responsibilities.
