Health minister praises Okyeame Kwame for hepatitis campaign

Okyeame Kwame reminded the media and the general public that 28th July is World Hepatitis Day and that a conscious effort must be made to spread the news for people to be tested and vaccinated.

Honorable Alex Segbefia, Minister of Health,, has commended rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame for his effort towards fighting hepatitis in the country.This came about during a courtesy call made by Okyeame Kwame and Dr. Paul Sekyere-Nyantakyi of MDS Lancet Laboratories to update the Minister on the planned program of activities towards this year’s Ok Foundation hepatitis campaign. In their interaction, the Minister was full of praise for Okyeame Kwame for being a good example to the youth and pledged the Ministry’s support in his quest to fighting the disease. This year’s campaign is under the theme ‘’Let’s kick hepatitis out’’ and comes off this July at Kumasi.

It will include the celebrity car wash on 26th, donation of vaccines to pregnant women tested positive to protect unborn children at Agogo Central Hospital on 28th during World Hepatitis Day celebrations plus launch of the celebrations on Fox FM.1st August will also be a free screening and vaccination exercise at Prempeh assembly hall. Okyeame Kwame reminded the media and the general public that 28th July is World Hepatitis Day and that a conscious effort must be made to spread the news for people to be tested and vaccinated.
