Four men who were accused of chasing the convoy of former President, Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa State have been released by the police, reports say.

The men were said to have chased Jonathan’s convoy from the Julius Berger bridge area of Yenagoa to the entrance of his home in the Kpansia area on Monday, November 30, 2015.

The men were said to have chased Jonathan’s convoy from the Julius Berger bridge area of Yenagoa to the entrance of his home in the Kpansia area on Monday, November 30, 2015.
They were subsequently overpowered by the former president’s security detail and handed to the police.
However, it was discovered after investigationsthat they followed Jonathan’s convoy with the mistaken assumption that they were following the campaign trail of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Timipre Sylva.
The Bayelsa governorship elections are expected to hold on Saturday, December 5.
