Reports say she refunded the sum of N23m to the anti-graft agency during interrogations.
Usman was arrested for allegedly receiving N2.5b from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to fund the 2015 presidential campaign of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The former minister has however said she did not know the source of the funds that was given to her, adding that she acted on the instructions of former President Jonathan.
According to an EFCC source who spoke to Punch, Usman complained of health challenges while she was being interrogated.
The source said “Since she has been cooperating with us and has also returned some money, she will be granted an administrative bail. She seems to have some health challenges. Also, releasing her will give her the ability to return more funds.”
Also, the EFCC has reportedly seized two properties belonging to the former minister.
