Diezani Presidency confirms arrest of ex-petroleum minister

Following the arrest of the former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke by the British National Crime Agency, the Presidency has released a statement, confirming the arrest.

According to Sun Newspapers, a Presidential spokesperson, Gar­ba Shehu said “The government is aware of the arrest and all the government inves­tigative agencies are working very closely with the British law enforcement. Nobody wants to give the impression that this gov­ernment is frivolous and unserious."
