EFCC grants Jide Omokore administrative bail

Punch Newspapers reports that Omokore’s invitation is related to the on-going investigation of the former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The Chairman of Atlantic Energy, Mr. Jide Omokore, was recently quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Punch Newspapers reports that Omokore’s invitation is related to the on-going investigation of the former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Omokore was however, granted an administrative bail.

Punch reports that a source close to the case, said “I don’t think it would be right to say that he was arrested as he came to the office on his own and was interrogated. He was later released to go on administrative bail.”

Mr. Jide Omokore is alleged to be a close associate of the former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
