EFCC sets up 4-man panel to probe ex-minister’s activities

The panel will also probe all the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) accounts which were supervised by Alison-Madueke.

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly instituted a four-man panel to probe the activities of former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The panel will also probe all the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) accounts which were supervised by Alison-Madueke, according to Punch.

The committee is reportedly led by a Superintendent of Police while the other three members are said to be leading members of the agency.

The former minister is also being probed along with former President, Goodluck Jonathan over the alleged purchase of three mobile stages with $6.9m in NNPC funds.

The deal was allegedly carried out by Alison-Madueke, Jonathan and his Chief Security Officer, Gordon Obuah.
