Justice Adeniyi Ademola, the trial judge in the case between Sambo Dasuki and the Federal Government, has rejected an application by the Federal Government requesting that the former NSA be mandated to be present in court.
Trial Judge throws out FG’s request
Citing section 266 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, Diri argued that it was compulsory for Dasuki to appear in court during trials.

The Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPF) Mr. Mohammed Diri said it was legally wrong for the former National Security Adviser (NSA) not to appear in court for his trial.
In his response, Justice Ademola said the lawyer mis-interpreted the provisions in section 266 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, adding that since only interlocutory applications were being argued in court presently, Dasuki could not be mandated to be present.
