According to Retired Captain Sunday Adoba, 40 of the abducted Chibok Girls have been handed over to one Mala Yamari.

A masked gunman stands in front of a group of girls in a Boko Haram video released on August 14, 2016 purporting to show the Chibok hostages

Adoba, a former Air Force defence officer, also said that the military is aware of the girls’ location.

He made the disclosure today, August 22, 2016, during an appearance on Channels TV.

“Well, we did our best, we provided this information to the authorities. These girls, 40 in number were brought to so, so location. They were handed over to Mala Yamari,” Adoba said.

“The truth remains, that they were brought there, and since they were brought within the past two weeks the number has increased.

“We monitor most of these things. But the fact remains that those who provide this information are ever willing and ready to take you physically to this area. So it’s not an issue of hearsay. But this people are willing and ready to take you to where they are located,” he added.

The over 200 Chibok girls were abducted on April 14, 2014, and most of them are still in captivity.

Renewed concerns for the girls’ welfare arose after Boko Haram released a video showing about 50 of them with a terrorist on August 14.
