Boko Haram Cameroon army recaptures Kerawa from terrorists

Cameroonian army  has retaken Kerawa town from terror group, Boko Haram, AFP  reports - citing security source.

Kerawa is located in the Kolofata district - far north of Cameroon and shares border with Nigeria.

The terrorists took control of the town earlier today, Friday, October 23. They were said to have slit throats of about seven people in the attack and shot dead others.

"They pulled out after the troops arrived. There hasn't been any more fighting," a source told AFP.

Other unconfirmed sources however claimed that the terrorists fled to Nigeria.

Also today, no fewer that 55 people were killed, and over 100 injured, in a separate suicide bombing at mosques in Maiduguri, Borno state and Yola, Adamawa state.
