Troops of the Nigerian Army have repelled a Boko Haram attack on Borno community, Buratai.
Troops repel Boko Haram attack in Chief of Army Staff’s hometown
The terrorists attempted to invade the town on Monday, July 27, 2015, but were pushed back by the troops.

This was disclosed by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman via a statement.
It reads:
“#NewsFlash about 9.30pm last night suspected Boko Haram terrorists made a futile attempt to attack Buratai town Borno State & military camp located in the area. I am glad to inform you that our gallant soldiers rose to the occasion & dealt with the terrorists.”
“They [the terrorists] however, made a concerted effort at about 3.00am this morning which was equally repelled by the gallant soldiers.”
Buratai in the Biu Local Government Area of the state is the home town of Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai.
