Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, over the weekend, paid a visit to soldiers serving in the troubled North-East.

Buratai visited the Mafa and Dikwa military stations in Borno State, which has suffered the worst of the Boko Haram insurgency.

The army chief was ambushed by terrorists on his way to the stations but the attackers were overwhelmed.
