Senator agrees with President, says she belongs in kitchen, other room

Her comments were made in reference to a remark by President Muhammadu Buhari who said that his wife, Aisha belongs in the kitchen, living room and other room and not in politics.

Meanwhile, Senator Garba, who represents Adamawa North, made her remarks during the plenary session of the Senate on Wednesday, October 19.

“My primary constituency is to be in the Kitchen before even being in the senate, as a woman and I am proud to be in the kitchen and even in the other room,” she said in a video which was streamed live on Facebook.

Mrs Aisha Buhari had, during an interview with BBC, raised alarm that her husband’s government had been hijacked by a cabal.

She also threatened not to support him for re-election in 2019 if the situation was not addressed.
