Pro-Biafra agitators arrested in London for confronting President

The men were arrested after they confronted Buhari to demand the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Nnamdi Kanu, director of the banned Radio Biafra, was detained by secret police on 17 October and accused of terrorism.

The men were arrested on Friday, May 13, after they confronted Buhari to demand the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

A BBC journalist, Will Ross, wrote on twitter that the activists were arrested by UK Police.

“Nigerian men protesting for Independence for Biafra arrested close to Buckingham Palace,” Ross tweeted.

Kanu, who is facing multiple charges including treason and terrorism, is being remanded in a Nigerian prison as his trial is ongoing.
