President to be interviewed by CNN’s Christiane Amanpour tonight

During the interview, which will air at 7pm Nigerian time, Amanpour will quiz Buhari on his discussions with US President, Barack Obama on a partnership against Boko Haram.

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to appear on the Cable News Network (CNN) for an interview with Christiane Amanpour today, July 21, 2015.

During the interview, which will air at 7pm Nigerian time, Amanpour will quiz Buhari on his discussions with US President, Barack Obama on a partnership against Boko Haram.

This was disclosed by the CNN anchor via Twitter. She wrote:

“EXCLUSIVE: For the 1st time, a Nigerian President meets his U.S. counterpart after a peaceful transfer of power. I interview @MBuhari –6pGMT”

“Nigerian President @MBuhari is in the U.S. seeking help to take on Boko Haram – I ask him how – 8pm CET on @cnni.”

Buhari had earlier been interviewed by Amanpour in April, before he became Nigeria’s President.
