President sacks NPA boss, reinstates predecessor fired by Jonathan

Buhari replaced Bayero with his predecessor, Habibu Abdullahi who was sacked by former President, Goodluck Jonathan in the final days of his administration.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has fired the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.

Buhari replaced Bayero with his predecessor, Habibu Abdullahi who was sacked by former President, Goodluck Jonathan in the final days of his administration.

The development was announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina via a statement on Thursday, August 13, 2015.

Adesina said further that Bayero's appointment is with immediate effect and he is expected to return all government property in his possession.
