President sacks 8 NNPC executives

The sacked GEDs are said to have been replaced.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked eight Group Executive Directors (GED) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

According to Vanguard, a source at the NNPC said the sacked GEDs have already been replaced with new officers.

Names of the sacked GEDs were given as; Ian Udoh, Group Executive Director, Refining & Petrochemicals, Adebayo Ibirogba, Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technical; Dr David Ige, Group Executive Director, Gas and Power and Dr. Attahir Yusuf, Group Executive Director, Business Development.

Others are: Dr. Dan Efebo, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services; Bernard Otti, Group, Executive Director, Finance and Accounts.

The President had on Tuesday,  August 4, appointed Emmanuel Kachikwu to serve as the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the NNPC after leaving Joseph Dawha of his duty. Dawha was the GMD of the corporation before the latest development.
