President reportedly shops for Babachir Lawal’s replacement as SGF

President Buhari is reportedly shopping for a replacement for the SGF, Babachir Lawal, who has been accused of corrupt practices.

In a report by ThisDay Newspaper, the president has begun sifting through the resumes of several and possible replacement for the SGF following his alleged corrupt practices.

After the Senate produced documents pinning the SGF to a contract he reportedly awarded his personal company to the tune of N270m, the president reportedly lost his trust and faith in Lawal.

Though Lawal had vehemently denied the allegations, it was reported that the name of Agriculture minister, Audu Ogbeh has propped up as a possible candidate to fill up the position and replace Lawal.

Ogbeh might once again win favour in the sight of President Buhari to replace Lawal as the SGF, if the president finds a better replacement for him in the agriculture ministry.
