Under the new arrangement, two journalists, instead of the usual four, will travel officially with the president.
“The security may have between three and four slots, rotated between the old and new officers, there may be other slots for the senior security officers, but I know the media has two slots for journalists and two for media officers,” a source said.
Buhari is also expected to reduce the number of ministries in the country from 42 to 19 in order to save cost.
The President officially resumed for duty at the Presidential Villa on Monday, three weeks after his May 29 inauguration.
