President leaves Abuja for Kenya, Ethiopia tomorrow

The statement said the President's entourage to Kenya would include the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Industry, Trade and Investment.

President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja on Wednesday on a three-day state visit to Kenya.

This information is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina.

According to the statement, Buhari, on arrival in Kenya, will join his host, President Uhuru Kenyatta and other dignitaries at a memorial service for Kenyan soldiers who were killed by Al-Shabaab in Somalia on Jan. 15.

It stated that after the memorial service in Eldoret, Buhari would proceed to Nairobi for bilateral talks on Thursday with Kenyan Government officials led by Kenyatta. It said before the conclusion of his visit, the presidents would preside over a Kenya-Nigeria Business Forum in Nairobi.

"At the conclusion of his visit to Kenya on Friday, Buhari will go on to Addis Ababa for the 26th Summit of African Union Heads of State and Government."

Buhari, according to the statement, will also participate in a meeting of the African Union's Peace and Security Council before returning to Abuja on Sunday.
