President Muhammadu Buhari’s health has improved significantly, a source at the Nigerian Embassy in London says.

However, only the president’s doctors can decide when he’ll be able to return to Nigeria.

The source, who reportedly sees Buhari regularly, spoke to Premium Times on the condition of anonymity.

“Oh yes; we thank God. He is doing very good; he is ok but his doctors will determine (when he will return),” the source said.

Buhari left Nigeria on May 7 for an indefinite medical vacation in London after months of ill health.

The president’s health challenges first came to light in January when he travelled to London for treatment and ended up spending 49 days instead of the 10 specified in his letter to the Senate.
