President Muhammadu Buhari, on September 22, 2015, hosted an Extraordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.

The meeting took place at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The discussions at the meeting were centred on the current political situation in Burkina Faso.

Leaders at the meeting include John Mahama (Ghana), Thomas Boni Yayi (Benin Republic), Macky Sall (Senegal) and Alassane Ouattara (Côte d’Ivoire) among others.
