President appoints State photographer

The Personal Assistant to the President, Sunday Aghaeze, was 2007 Best Photo Journalist of the year, and 2010 second runner up photo journalist at Prof. Wole Soyinka Award 2010.

President Buhari has confirmed the appointment, Mr Sunday Aghaeze, as Personal Assistant to the President, State photographer.

According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal, took effect from June 1, 2015.

Aghaeze is an award winning photo journalist was who has won many laurels.

He was  2007 Best Photo Journalist of the year, and 2010 second runner up photo journalist at Prof. Wole Soyinka Award 2010.

Before his appointment, he worked as a photo editor with THISDAY Newspapers.

Aghaeze holds Higher National Diploma from Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state,  and a National Diploma in Mass Communications, from Auchi Polytechnic, Edo state.

The President  recently  appointed 24 year-oldBashir Ahmad, as his Personal Assistant on New Media.

He also appointed social media influencer and award winning journalist, Tolu Ogunlesi as his Special Assistant on digital media.

President, Muhammadu Buhari has said he won't be giving N5000 monthly stipend to unemployed Nigerians as earlier promised during his political campaign.

Mr. President said he has a different priority and approach to rewarding unemployed Nigerians other than to pay N5,000 monthly.
