In a statement issued in Abuja, the Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said a new date would soon be announced for the event.

Shehu dismissed the assertion that the event was cancelled, saying that the schedule was put up ``hurriedly on his return to ensure that all interests are accommodated’’.

``This arose from the clash of schedules. You know the President spent the first fourteen days of the fast out of the country.
